MROair is a start-up focused on transforming the aircraft maintenance industry by reducing inefficiencies and "waste" in maintenance processes. Traditionally, aircraft maintenance has been a complex, paper-based operation, and MROair is determined to change that. As a UX/UI designer, I joined the team early on to help shape both the product and the brand. The development process involved in-depth research, case studies, user testing, and prototyping to create a completely new digital workflow—one that had never existed in this industry before.

In collaboration with Michiel Kokee↗

MROair aimed to digitize the complex, paper-heavy workflows in aircraft maintenance. The challenge was to create an intuitive, efficient system for an industry that was traditionally resistant to digital tools, while ensuring it met strict safety and compliance standards.

We developed a seamless digital workflow that replaced paper-based processes with a user-friendly platform for real-time tracking and collaboration. The design focused on simplicity and clarity, allowing technicians to easily manage maintenance tasks and reduce errors, while ensuring industry compliance.

Our approach involved thorough research, user testing, and iterative prototyping using an agile method. We developed the product incrementally, continuously testing each iteration and making real-time improvements based on user feedback. By engaging directly with industry professionals, we identified key pain points and refined the design to meet the specific needs of aircraft maintenance. The result was a digital product that streamlined workflows, improved efficiency, and minimized human error.
